An ar­ti­cle on the Cana­dian Pavil­ion at the Venice Bi­en­nale in to­day’s Arts section said two rooms in the Na­tional Gallery in Ottawa were named af­ter phil­an­thropic fam­i­lies – the Sobeys and the Ko­ern­ers – in 2015 when they each en­dowed $2-mil­lion to a fund for the Cana­dian Pavil­ion. To clar­ify, the en­dow­ment is to a fund for pro­gram­ming at the pavil­ion. A Sept. 8 Opin­ion col­umn on gen­der was not clear in stat­ing that it was the par­ents’ views that many girls with gen­der dys­pho­ria have a his­tory of men­tal ill­ness.
