Break, en­ter, theft in Vanas­tra

Huron County On­tario Pro­vin­cial Po­lice (OPP) of­fi­cers are cur­rently in­ves­ti­gat­ing a break, en­ter and theft that oc­curred late De­cem­ber at a com­mer­cial stor­age fa­cil­ity in Vanas­tra. In­ves­ti­ga­tors be­lieve those re­spon­si­ble for this crime at­tended the stor­age fa­cil­ity lo­cated on Win­nipeg Road some­time be­tween 7 p.m. on Dec. 19 and 8 a.m. on Dec. 20, 2016. The thieves de­feated the lock on one of the man doors and made their way into the build­ing. Once in­side the build­ing, they stole var­i­ous items that were be­ing held in stor­age for cus­tomers. Some of the stolen items in­cluded: • A green KX80 dirt bike • A red CRF70 dirt bike • Ap­prox­i­mately 200 Nin­tendo video games • Some red lan­terns • Var­i­ous brand new lamp fix­tures. The thieves loaded up the items into a waiting ve­hi­cle and left in an un­known direction. The dol­lar value of the stolen items has yet to be de­ter­mined.
