4H Lead­ers’ As­so­ci­a­tion Awards

The Huron County 4- H Lead­ers’ As­so­ci­a­tion Awards Pro­gram was held on Sun­day, Nov. 20, 2016, at the Seaforth Agriplex. Over 180 4- H mem­bers, parents, award sponsors and pre­sen­ters braved the stormy winter day to at­tend. Through­out the af­ter­noon pro­gram, over 100 awards were pre­sented. Mem­bers of 4- H were rec­og­nized for their ex­cel­lent pro j e c t books, show­man­ship and ded­i­ca­tion to the 4- H pro­gram and for up­hold­ing the 4- H motto, “Learn to Do by Do­ing” and much more.

Matt Cardiff presents Jolande Oud­shoorn with the Top All-Around Mem­ber Award.

Don Pullen presents Myah Vinger­hoeds with the award for the High Over­all Score in the County. Myah earned a score of 963 points out of a pos­si­ble 1000.

War­den Paul Gow­ing presents Jes­sica He­witt with the award for the 1st Year Mem­ber with the Com­pet­i­tive High Score. Jes­sica’s ob­tained a score of 893 points out of a pos­si­ble 1000.

Jack Strong, rep­re­sen­ta­tive for MP Ben Lobb, presents Deanna Haanstra with the award for her es­say that an­swered the ques­tion, ‘What 4-H has meant to me as a mem­ber in Huron County.’
