Bazinet Family Donates to Park Project
The Goderich Recreation Park fundraising campaign is one step closer to reaching its goal thanks to a generous donation from Goderich Town Councillor, Trevor Bazinet, his wife, Jill, and son, Brock.
Serving the town since 2014, Bazinet says that when he first ran for Council, he received a lot of feedback from the community that revitalizing Ag Park was an important project for local recreation infrastructure. As someone passionate about youth sport and recreation, advocating for revitalizing the park was a natural fit for his campaign.
“My family and I feel strongly that this is something that has been needed in Goderich for a very long time”, says Bazinet. “Recreation is one of the things that families look for when they are moving to a new town and it is exciting to see this project finally moving forward.” Bazinet says that the redevelopment isn’t just good for local youth and families, but also for businesses who will see the economic spin- offs of the revitalized park.
Jill Bazinet agrees. “This is something we all wanted to see happen. It shows that when people work together and work hard enough, anything is possible.”
The Bazinet family donated $5, 036 to help fund the Goderich Recreation Park campaign.(L to R): Committee member Leah Noel, Jill, Trevor and Brock Bazinet and Committee member Ray Hurd.
