OPP drug war­rant ex­e­cuted in Seaforth

(HURON EAST, ON) On Wed­nes­day, Septem­ber 26, 2018, mem­bers from the Huron County On­tario Pro­vin­cial Po­lice (OPP) De­tach­ment along with the Huron-Perth & GreyBruce Com­mu­nity Street Crimes Units (CSCU) ex­e­cuted a Con­trolled Drugs and Sub­stances Act (CDSA) search war­rant at a res­i­dence lo­cated on Main Street South in Seaforth.

As a re­sult of the ex­e­cu­tion of the search war­rant, po­lice seized hy­dro­mor­phone, metham­phetamine, cannabis mar­i­huana and drug para­pher­na­lia. The es­ti­mated, com­bined value of the seized con­trolled sub­stances is $400.

Po­lice also seized stolen prop­erty that con­sisted of a stolen pass­port, SIN card, Out­doors Card, driver’s li­cences, health cards and bank­ing cards.

A man of 27 years of age from Seaforth and a man of 25 years of age from Clin­ton have been charged with Pos­ses­sion of a Sched­ule I Sub­stance - Metham­phetamine, Pos­ses­sion of a Sched­ule I Sub­stance Hy­dro­mor­phone and Pos­ses­sion of a Sched­ule II Sub­stance - Cannabis Mar­i­huana.

Both were re­leased from cus­tody with a court ap­pear­ance sched­uled for Oc­to­ber 29, 2018 at the On­tario Court of Jus­tice - Goderich.

A man of 30 years of age from Clin­ton has been charged with Pos­ses­sion of a Sched­ule I Sub­stance - Metham­phetamine, Pos­ses­sion of a Sched­ule I Sub­stance - Hy­dro­mor­phone, Pos­ses­sion of a Sched­ule II Sub­stance - Cannabis Mar­i­huana and Pos­ses­sion of Prop­erty Ob­tained by Crime Un­der $5,000 (3 counts). He was re­leased from cus­tody with a court ap­pear­ance sched­uled for Oc­to­ber 29, 2018 at the On­tario Court of Jus­tice - Goderich.

(SOUTH HURON, ON) Huron County On­tario Pro­vin­cial Po­lice (OPP) is seek­ing tips from the pub­lic in re­la­tion to some re­cent thefts of Kub­ota trac­tors that have been stolen in South Huron. The first re­ported in­ci­dent took place overnight on Septem­ber 9, 2018 at a busi­ness lo­cated on Kirk­ton Road just east of Ex­eter. A Kub­ota L3010 trac­tor, a Kub­ota RTV util­ity ve­hi­cle and a Stihl back­pack style leaf blower were all stolen from a main­te­nance (CEN­TRAL HURON, ON) - A 26-year-old from Cen­tral Huron has been charged with Im­paired Driv­ing and Over 80 fol­low­ing a traf­fic stop that took place in Lon­des­boro this past week­end. Just after 1:00 a.m. on Satur­day, Septem­ber 15, 2018 Huron County On­tario Pro­vin­cial Po­lice (OPP) of­fi­cers re­ceived in­for­ma­tion about a pos­si­ble im­paired driver trav­el­ling to­ward Lon­des­boro. At ap­prox­i­mately 1:14 a.m. po­lice ob­served the driver of the sus­pect ve­hi­cle op­er­at­ing in an er­ratic shed lo­cated on the prop­erty. The fol­low­ing day the stolen Kub­o­tas were re­cov­ered in a park­ing lot in Ex­eter how­ever the leaf blower re­mains out­stand­ing. The next in­ci­dent took place in Ex­eter on Huron Street East some­time overnight on Septem­ber 18, 2018. A thief at­tended the prop­erty and stole an or­ange 2016 Kub­ota trac­tor, model BX2670 val­ued at $15,000. The trac­tor had been parked near the res­i­dence garage. man­ner on Main Street in Lon­des­boro. Prior to ini­ti­at­ing a traf­fic stop the driver pulled into a laneway on Main Street and came to a stop.

Mo­ments later the driver ex­ited his ve­hi­cle and was greeted by the of­fi­cer. Upon speak­ing with the male driver it was ev­i­dent the driver had con­sumed some al­co­hol and was dis­play­ing sev­eral signs of im­pair­ment.

As a re­sult, the driver was placed un­der ar­rest for Im­paired Driv­ing and was trans­ported to the Huron De­tach­ment for breath tests. He sub­se­quently pro­vided That same night in Ex­eter a sec­ond Kub­ota trac­tor was stolen from an Abbey Lane res­i­dence. A dol­lar value has yet to be de­ter­mined for this stolen trac­tor.

A man of 26 years of age, from Cen­tral Huron has been charged with Im­paired Driv­ing and Drive Mo­tor Ve­hi­cle With Over 80 Mil­ligrams of Al­co­hol.

He has since been re­leased from cus­tody with a court date sched­uled for Oc­to­ber 15, 2018 at the On­tario Court of Jus­tice - Goderich. His ve­hi­cle was im­pounded for a week and his li­cence has been sus­pended for an au­to­matic 90 days.
