Male fac­ing sev­eral crim­i­nal charges

(BLUE­WA­TER, ON) A 21-year-old from South Huron re­mains in cus­tody on a num­ber of crim­i­nal charges stem­ming from a se­ries of poor choices he made on Septem­ber 12, 2018.

At ap­prox­i­mately 6:27 p.m. on the 12th of Septem­ber, Huron County On­tario Pro­vin­cial Po­lice (OPP) re­ceived in­for­ma­tion that a Chevro­let pickup truck had been stolen from a Goshen Line res­i­dence and a Yamaha golf cart was left be­hind.

Upon fur­ther po­lice in­ves­ti­ga­tion po­lice de­ter­mined the thief broke into a res­i­dence lo­cated on ZurichHen­sall Road and stole the golf cart from the de­tached garage. From there he pro­ceeded to aban­don the golf cart and he stole the pickup truck from the Goshen Line res­i­dence.

With the as­sis­tance of the pub­lic, of­fi­cers were able to pos­i­tively iden­tify the male sus­pect. He was sub­se­quently lo­cated and ar­rested in Zurich on Septem­ber 13, 2018.

A man of 21 years of age from South Huron has been charged with the fol­low­ing of­fences:

• Break and En­ter Com­mit In­dictable Of­fence • Theft Over $5,000 Mo­tor Ve­hi­cle

• Driv­ing While Dis­qual­i­fied

• Fail to Com­ply with Pro­ba­tion Or­der

• Driv­ing While Un­der Sus­pen­sion

The ac­cused re­mains in cus­tody with a video court ap­pear­ance sched­uled for Septem­ber 21, 2018 at the On­tario Court of Jus­tice Goderich.
