Get Spanish lessons before heading off on vacation

The Chameleon Language Centre (CLC) in Charlottetown is teaming up with TPI-Travel Places to offer Spanish lessons for travellers.

“I believe in partnerships and collaborating as a way of helping each business to succeed,” says Tracey Allen of TPI-Travel.

Allen said she sees the trend of volunteer and adventure travel creating a need for language training.

Volunteer travel is defined as travel that involves an element of volunteering in the destination chosen and can include organized activities such as building projects, teaching projects, wildlife and eco-activities.

Adventure travel is active travel where there is hiking, cycling, sailing, diving, snorkelling or other adventure activities.

“Learning new languages is a great way to truly experience the culture when visiting a destination whether it is for an all inclusive vacation, business travel adventure travel or volunteer travel,” says Allen.

CLC offers language courses taught by native speakers, who have years of experience in teaching.

From January to March, several Spanish courses will be offered to those individuals and businesses wanting to receive an introduction to Spanish prior to a trip to a Spanish-speaking destination.
