Poet gives read­ing

Sean O Cois­tealbha from Con­nemara, County Galway, Ire­land, read from his po­etry at the Ir­ish Cul­tural Cen­tre re­cently in Char­lot­te­town. Also a philoso­pher, stage ac­tor and fam­ily man, he strives to bring peo­ple to­gether through mu­sic, po­etry, con­ver­sa­tion and ex­pe­ri­en­tial learn­ing. The read­ing was spon­sored by the BIS. With him are mu­si­cians on stage at the event, from left, Fiach Cois­tealbha, Dualta Cois­tealbha and Maela Ni Cois­tealbha.

Wed­nes­days, 1-2 p.m., and Satur­days, 9:30-10:30 a.m., for chil­dren five to 12, be­gin­ning July 8. Upon reg­is­tra­tion, which can hap­pen dur­ing the sum­mer, chil­dren will re­ceive a spe­cial web ac­cess code for the ex­clu­sive TD Sum­mer Read­ing Club web­site and a log to record all of their sum­mer read­ing. When the group meets, they will re­ceive stick­ers for the amount of read­ing they’ve done, as well as en­joy ac­tiv­i­ties.
