Disturbance leads to impaired arrest
SUMMERSIDE — A disturbance at a local gas station Tuesday resulted in the arrest of a 39-year-old Lennox Island woman for impaired driving. Shortly after 2 p.m., Summerside police responded to the disturbance call. Witnesses reported that the three occupants of a Dodge van were fighting with one other. One of the occupants then entered the store and was yelling and swearing before going back outside and punching the windows of the van. Police arrived as the van was attempting to leave the area. The woman, the driver of the van, was arrested for impaired driving. She provided breath samples more than double the legal limit and will appear in court at a later date to answer to impaired driving related charges.
