Sun­day Night Hoo­te­nanny to de­but in Brack­ley Beach

Sun­day Night Hoo­te­nanny will de­but at Brack­ley Beach Com­mu­nity Cen­tre on Sun­day, July 5 at 7:30 p.m.

The tra­di­tional P.E.I. va­ri­ety show will fea­ture lively Don Messer/ down east fid­dling by Gary Chip­man, vo­cal per­for­mances from all gen­res of mu­sic, as well as step dancer, Jor­dan Chowen.

Chip­man joins friends Billy Roy Mur­naghan, Niall MacKay, Doug MacEwen, Heartz God­kin and Brian Knox . Rod­ney Savi­dant will also be join­ing the group on July 5th.

Gary Chip­man is a well known Is­land mu­si­cian with an ac­com­plished ca­reer hav­ing toured with Stompin’ Tom Con­nors and Anna McGoldrick from Ire­land. He has also per­formed with Don Messer and The Is­lan­ders, Mac Wise­man, Freddy Fen­der, John Allen Cameron, The Car­leton Show­band, Lu­cille Starr, Michelle Wright, Tommy Hunter, Tommy Com­mon, Smi­ley Bates & Dave Dud­ley and oth­ers. He’s also played in sev­eral Is­land bands over the years such as Dino and The Satins, The Trem­tones, The Hi-Notes and his own band.

“This show is def­i­nitely go­ing to be un­like any­thing you’ve ever seen from this group be­fore. We prom­ise to get those toes a tap­pin’ and those hands a clap­pin'," says Chip­man.

Hoo­te­nanny will run ev­ery Sun­day through July, Au­gust and into Septem­ber. Doors open at 7 p.m. There will be a can­teen ser­vice and ad­mis­sion is at the door. 50/50 draw will be in sup­port of Cys­tic Fi­bro­sis. The venue is air-con­di­tioned and wheel chair ac­ces­si­ble.
