Ar­gyle Shore WI do­nates minute books to P.E.I. ar­chives

The monthly meet­ing of the Ar­gyle Shore Women’s In­sti­tute was held re­cently at the Ar­gyle Shore Com­mu­nity Cen­tre.

Min­utes of the pre­vi­ous meet­ing were ap­proved. Trea­surer Gayle Mac­Don­ald, re­ported a bal­ance of $ 2,610.38

Cor­re­spon­dence in­cluded a thank you note from the P.E.I. Ar­chives for a do­na­tion of minute books and other records. There was also a re­quest from the P.E.I. Mu­seum and Her­itage Foun­da­tion, re­quest­ing com­ple­tion of of­fi­cial doc­u­men­ta­tion re­lat­ing to do­na­tion of the 190204 sig­na­ture quilt.

Barb Cur­rie and An­nie MacPhail re­ported on the May 30 pro­vin­cial con­ven­tion in Summerside. They also at­tended the FWIC Con­ven­tion in Fred­er­ic­ton.

Mar­garet Butcher re­ported that prop­erty own­ers are now be­ing con­tacted so that cleanup of the creek can be­gin.
