Nominate a deserving senior for a Senior Islander of the Year Award
Do you know an Island senior who you believe should be recognized for their contributions in their community?
Community groups, organizations and the public are encouraged to nominate seniors in their communities for the 2015 P.E.I. Senior Islanders of the Year Award.
“The Prince Edward Island Senior Islanders of the Year Award highlights the important role that Island seniors play in community and family life,” Family and Human Services Doug Currie.
“These awards are a great opportunity to celebrate the variety of contributions older adults make and recognize leaders and mentors of our communities.”
The annual award recognizes the significant contributions of Island seniors in many areas of community life including: volunteerism, artistic achievement, fund raising, community participation, career achievements, fitness/recreation and other activities.
The deadline for nominations for the 2015 PEI Senior Islanders of the Year Award is July 15. Nominations will be reviewed by members of the Prince Edward Island Seniors’ Secretariat.
