Georgetown wants to take their tourism of­fer­ings to the next level. Re­cently 69 peo­ple from Georgetown par­tic­i­pated in WorldHost – a train­ing pro­gram for tourism work­ers that fo­cuses on skills and tech­niques re­quired to pro­vide ex­cep­tional cus­tomer ser­vice and hos­pi­tal­ity. The Tourism In­dus­try As­so­ci­a­tion of P.E.I. ac­quired the rights for WorldHost in prepa­ra­tion for the P.E.I. 2014 cel­e­bra­tions. TIAPEI ex­ec­u­tive di­rec­tor Don Cud­more says he would love to see ev­ery com­mu­nity across the province fol­low this lead.
