Larkin paces Brewers
Chevies, Athletics also record KCBL victories
Dustin Larkin had three hits, including two home runs and six RBI, to lead the Northside Gill Construction Brewers over the Peakes Bombers 11-4 Wednesday in Kings County Baseball League action.
Jordan Stevenson had a onehitter with five strikeouts through four innings for the win before giving way to Sam Walsh. Nigel Fisher went 3-for-4 with a homerun while Garret VanDiepen was 3-for-4 to help lead the Brewers to victory.
The Bombers top batters were Dillon Doucette with a two-run homerun, Matt MacDonald 1for-1 and Connor Myers 1-for-2.
Charlie Jay suffered the loss for the Bombers with relief from Bruce Jay.
Athletics 16, Expos 6
The Stratford P.E.I. Brewing Company Athletics defeated the Stratford Action Aero Expos 166 in five innings.
Ronnie de la Cruz was the winning pitcher while Steve Cochrane took the loss.
Allister Smith, Josh Kirpatrick, Jacob Smith and Andrew Bryanton each had two hits to lead the Athletics while Corey Livingstone had a pair for the Expos.
Expos 13, Arrows 3
Ben Ladner was 4-for-5 Tuesday to lead the Action Aero Expos to a 13-3 victory over the Brackish Arrows.
The Kings County Baseball League game was called after six innings.
Ryan Macleod pitched a complete game, striking out five, for the win. Tyler Johnston suffered the loss with relief from Zach Marsh and Gabe Young.
Andrew Inglis was 2-for-3 to lead the Arrows.
