Peace­fully, with her fam­ily by her side, at Whis­per­wood Villa on Thurs­day, July 9, 2015 of Mary El­iz­a­beth “Liz” Mur­phy, for­merly of Mt. Stewart, in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Clarence Mur­phy and dear mother of C la rence (Linda), Bren­don (Noreen), Bev­er­lee (Niels) Jor­gensen, Wayne (Elaine), Robert (de­ceased), Brian (Marthe) and David (Gae­lyne). Lov­ing Nanny of Jodi, Steven, Dawn, Jeff, Lisa, Christa, Jonathan, Jenna, Jil­lian, Whit­ney, Jor­dan, Kirsten and great-grand­mother of seven. She is also lov­ingly re­mem­bered by daugh­ter-in-law, Deb­bie Mur­physis­ter, Elsie Cal­laghan; broth­ers, Harold and Everett Mitchell. She was also pre­de­ceased by her sis­ter, Pearle Kelly. Rest­ing at the Hen­nessey Cut­cliffe Char­lot­te­town Fu­neral Home un­til Mon­day morn­ing, then trans­ferred to St. An­drew’s Church, Mt. Stewart, for fu­neral mass at 10:30 a.m. In­ter­ment will fol­low in St. An­drew’s Parish Ceme­tery. Vis­it­ing hours will be held on Sun­day from 4 to 7 p.m. If so de­sired, con­tri­bu­tions in mem­ory of Liz may be made to the St. An­drew’s Ceme­tery Fund, the Cana­dian Di­a­betes As­so­ci­a­tion or a char­ity of choice.­
