Fid­dlers’ Sons at Cym­bria Lions Club

The Cym­bria Lions Club weekly ceilidhs kick off Sun­day, July 12, with Fid­dlers’ Sons and Sheila MacKen­zie in their beau­ti­ful, air-con­di­tioned hall in Rus­tico at 7:30 p.m.

A crowd favourite, Fid­dlers’ Sons mu­sic fea­tures tra­di­tional Scot­tish and Ir­ish favourites, folk and Mar­itime clas­sics along with orig­i­nal songs that bring the ways of Is­land life alive.

Lead singer Eddy Quinn will also be shar­ing some of the sto­ries and songs that are fea­tured in his new book ti­tled "Is­land Char­ac­ters" which will be avail­able for sale along with the band’s mu­si­cal record­ings.

The Cym­bria Lions Hall is at 2184 Church Road in Rus­tico next to the Farm­ers’ Bank. All ages are welcome with ad­mis­sion by cash only at the door which opens at 6:30 p.m.

The evening will also fea­ture a guest step­dancer, 50/50 draw, can­teen ser­vice and straw­ber­ries and ice­cream at in­ter­mis­sion.
