Sunday Night Shenanigans, hosted by Judy MacLean at York Community Centre, welcomes several entertainers, including two popular recording artists, to the stage for an evening of Island entertainment on July 12 at 7 p.m.

For fans of classic country music, Lester MacPherson will thrill the audience for sure with some vintage tunes he loves to sing by such artists as George Jones, Merle Haggard, Vern Gosdin and more. Known as P.E.I.’s country gentleman, MacPherson will also perform songs from his newest album called “Don’t Stop the Music”, which was recorded by Serge Bernard of Diamond Productions, along with harmonies by Janet McGarry and Bernard.

Also gracing the stage, is wellknown vocalist Susan Campbell whose early career included playing with a couple of country/rock bands which included a group called Slave. She produced a self-titled album of her favourite numbers and continues to perform locally and at special events such as The Rockets hockey games where she sang O Canada on a regular basis, as well as the RCMP Musical Ride and the Royal Canadian Legion opening ceremonies for Armistice Day. She will have backup music by Peter Burke on keyboards.

The Judy MacLean Dancers, always a highlight, will feature dancer Kristyn Visser, who will be accompanied by Jason Campbell on fiddle. Emmett De- Coursey will no doubt keep everyone chuckling with his selfpenned tunes and country songs.
