Smi­ley Bayama wins Satur­day’s CDP fea­ture for Gass

Smi­ley Bayama, owned by Shel­ley and Alexis Gass, Cornwall, won Satur­day’s fea­ture race at Red Shores at the Char­lot­te­town Driv­ing Park. Ron Gass was in the bike for the 1:57.3 score ahead of First Art Down (Ken Mur­phy) and Win­de­mere Eric (Gary Chap­pell). How­macs Pride won the trot di­vi­sion in 2:02.2 for driver Kenny Arse­nault and own­er­ship group of Wade Pe­coni of Stanchel and How­mac Farms of North Wilt­shire. The mare picked up her third win from nine starts in 2015. Po­lit­i­cal Cri­sis, with Adam Merner in the bike, claimed The Guardian Pace in Race 10. Merner mapped out the win­ning trip for his co-owner Max Sehl of Nova Sco­tia.
