Cellphone a factor in Peakes crash
MONTAGUE — The use of a cellphone while driving was a contributing factor in a two-vehicle collision on Saturday. RCMP said while no one was injured in the collision, which occurred on Route 22 near Peakes at about 11 a.m., both vehicles were damaged beyond repair. Police said the collision occurred when one driver was using a cellphone and pulled in front of an oncoming vehicle. The driver admitted to using the phone and was issued a highway traffic ticket.
