Walk for reproductive mental health

The Guardian (Charlottetown) - - HEALTH/COMMUNITY -

A large group filled the Charlottetown waterfront during the recent second annual Climb out of the Darkness Walk.

The walk started last year as a way to raise awareness on the few resources and lack of access surrounding reproductive mental health, with the goal of eventually having access for all pregnant women and new mothers who have anxiety disorders. The Charlottetown event was also part of an international effort that assists the non-profit group, Postpartum Progress, which supports pregnant women and new mothers, as well as those who’ve experienced a miscarriage, stillbirth or infant loss.
