Jail time for liquor thief

A man who stole from the same liquor store twice was given a sus­pended sen­tence in pro­vin­cial court Frank Wil­liam Rose ap­peared be­fore Chief Judge John Dou­glas in Char­lot­te­town af­ter pre­vi­ously plead­ing guilty to two thefts from a liquor store in the city. Dou­glas gave him a sus­pended sen­tence and or­dered Rose to per­form 30 hours of com­mu­nity ser­vice. Rose will have to pay $200 in vic­tim sur­charges and $29.95 in resti­tu­tion.
