Rat Pack heats up Water­mark

The Clas­sic Mu­sic Reignited Se­ries kicks off Fri­day at Water­mark Theatre in North Rus­tico.

The 1960’s pop mu­sic scene was spiced up by the so­phis­ti­cated, sul­try sounds of a group known as the Rat Pack. This loosely knit group of Dean Martin, Frank Si­na­tra, Sammy Davis, Jr. and oth­ers stole hearts all over the world with their mu­sic.

Kick­ing off the se­ries is a night a night of cool rat pack mu­sic by singer-song­writer and all-round cool­ster, Dennis Ellsworth, Ir­ish Mythen, fresh from her open­ing for Rod Stewart in Cavendish, and Is­land mu­sic vet­eran Chris Cor­ri­gan. As a bonus, jazz bassist David Bell and guests will ser­e­nade the au­di­ence prior to the show and dur­ing in­ter­mis­sion on the deck.

The bar will be open at 6:30 p.m. and serve Martin-style mar­ti­nis all night. The mu­sic starts at 7:30 p.m.

The se­ries, pro­duced by Rob Oakie, will in­clude Cather­ine MacLel­lan and friends singing Joni Mitchell and Neil Young on Aug. 14 and Vishten and the At­lantic String Ma­chine play­ing Stephane Grap­pelli and Edith Piaf on Aug. 28.
