Three hours in CBMF lineup

The Guardian (Charlottetown) - - EDITORIAL -

In response to how smoothly the Cavendish Beach Music festival went here's my experience. My husband and I have faithfully attended Cavendish Beach Music Festival. Friday, he left work early as we headed from Souris to Cavendish with our tickets which cost us very close to $200.

The lady I spoke to on the phone stated “just have your order number and ID and you will have no problem.”

We showed up around 6 p.m. to see Dan and Shay but of course to wait patiently for Steve Earle and then Eric Church. But this did not happen.

Instead I was forced to stand in an unorganized line filled with drunk teenagers to wait for a bracelet to prove I bought a ticket. I already had a piece of paper already stating that.

We stood in this line till nearly 9 p.m., almost three hours. I missed Dan and Shay and Steve Earle which was most of my reason for coming. We didn't have time to look at any of the booths, relax or meet up with any of our friends. I am truly disappointed and very angry that my hard-earned money and tickets were wasted standing in a line up. Holly Gallant, Souris
