Legault’s rally falls short at Future Links Atlantics
Charlottetown’s Ryan Legault had the best score of the day on Thursday but it wasn’t enough.
Legault carded a 5-under 67 in the final round of the CN Future Links Atlantic Championship division to lock up second place in the junior boys’ division. The tournament was played at the Gowan Brae Golf Club, near Bathurst, N.B.
He finished three strokes behind winner Calvin Ross of Fredericton, N.B., who had a three-round total of 215.
In the junior girls division, Bailey Carr shot an 81, her best round, for a 252 total. Carr finished 10th out of 20 entries, 25 strokes behind winner Allison Chandler of Chester, N.S.
In the junior boys’ division, MacKenzie Clow of Summerside also shot his best round of the tournament, carding a 74 for 14th place, 15 shots back of the winner.
