Library welcomes special guest
Maureen Jennings, author of “Except The Dying”, which is the inspiration for the Murdoch Mysteries TV series, does a little playful covert observation at the Confederation Centre library this past Tuesday. She is touring the Island as part of the annual One Book One Island program that brings an author to P.E.I. in celebration of one selected title each year. Central Bedeque, is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sundays, 1-5 p.m. (admission $5, students/seniors $4). The museum presents the story of Callbeck’s General Store and a new second floor area with an expanded selection from the collection of Howard Clark. provincially designated Historic Place of P.E.I., is on the North Cape Coastal Drive, 784 Bideford Rd. (Route 166) in Ellerslie-Bideford. Built in 1878, over the years it has been a family home, a parsonage and home of aspiring writer L.M. Montgomery when she taught school in Bideford. It is open daily, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

at Confederation Centre Public Library, July 23, 2 p.m. Irving and Dale will talk about their experience of story-gathering from people in the area and putting together this newest book, “Around the Point Two”.
