Three Pink Bows fastest on SRW card
Three Pink Bows was the fastest three-year-old filly five divisions of the Atlantic Sires Stakes on Thursday night.
Three Pink Bows stopped the clock in 1:58.3 to win the first of two $12,680 A divisions during the 12-dash Governor’s Plate Week racing program at Red Shores at Summerside Raceway.
Danny Romo drove Three Pink Bows for owners Tanya Tremblett of Sydney Mines, N.S., and Stevi Jardine of Georges River, N.S.
Another off-Island entry also won the second A event. Jann Down, owned by the Downey Stables of Quispamsis, N.B., and driven by Gilles Barrieau, circled the oval in 1:59.3.
The $2,500 B divisions were won by the Mark Bradley-driven Blue and Gold (2:01.4), Tobins Lady (2:00.1), driven by coowner Jason Hughes of Stratford, and This girl can hunt (2:00.4), with Norris Rogers in the sulky.
Artners In Crime and driver Ron Matheson had the fastest trip of the night - 1:56 flat - in the Byron Gamester Memorial Pace.
Lemon Gin and driver Mark Bradley won the Cam Cameron Memorial Pace in 1:59.1.
