Mall shooting case adjourned
A teen who was shot at the Charlottetown Mall after confronting the police with a gun will be back in court next month to pick a date for sentencing. The teen, who cannot be named because he is a young offender, called 911 to report a fake shooting on April 3. A Charlottetown police officer shot him after the teen refused to drop a pistol that looked real. It turned out to be a pellet gun. The teen told police he had previously attempted suicide and wanted them to kill him. His next court date is scheduled for Aug. 24.
