Performers announced for Wednesday at Noon series
Morgan Saulnier, flute, and Frances McBurnie, piano, will be featured
The Wednesdays at Noon series of chamber music recitals continues this week with music for flute and piano.
The performers are Morgan Saulnier, flute, and Frances McBurnie, piano. Featured works are by Pergolesi, Mozart, Ibert and Griffes. The program begins at 12:10 on Wednesday, July 22, at the Kirk of St. James. 35 Fitzroy St., Charlottetown. Admission is free; donations to the Kirk’s Choral Scholarship Program are greatly appreciated.
Saulnier holds a masters in flute performance from Memorial University and a bachelor of music from the University of Prince Edward Island. She has performed extensively throughout Atlantic Canada, appearing as soloist with various ensembles including the P.E.I. Symphony Orchestra, Memorial University Chamber Orchestra, the UPEI Wind Symphony, and others.
She also maintains an active role in the music scene on Prince Edward Island - in high demand as a flute and piano educator, soloist, and collaborator.
Saulnier is principal flute of the P.E.I. Symphony Orchestra and holds sessional appointments at UPEI and Holland College. She lives in Charlottetown with her husband and daughter and owns a boutique on Victoria Row.
