Per­form­ers an­nounced for Wed­nes­day at Noon se­ries

Mor­gan Saulnier, flute, and Frances McBurnie, pi­ano, will be fea­tured

The Wed­nes­days at Noon se­ries of cham­ber mu­sic recitals con­tin­ues this week with mu­sic for flute and pi­ano.

The per­form­ers are Mor­gan Saulnier, flute, and Frances McBurnie, pi­ano. Fea­tured works are by Per­golesi, Mozart, Ibert and Griffes. The pro­gram be­gins at 12:10 on Wed­nes­day, July 22, at the Kirk of St. James. 35 Fitzroy St., Char­lot­te­town. Ad­mis­sion is free; do­na­tions to the Kirk’s Choral Schol­ar­ship Pro­gram are greatly ap­pre­ci­ated.

Saulnier holds a mas­ters in flute per­for­mance from Me­mo­rial Univer­sity and a bach­e­lor of mu­sic from the Univer­sity of Prince Ed­ward Is­land. She has per­formed ex­ten­sively through­out At­lantic Canada, ap­pear­ing as soloist with var­i­ous en­sem­bles in­clud­ing the P.E.I. Sym­phony Or­ches­tra, Me­mo­rial Univer­sity Cham­ber Or­ches­tra, the UPEI Wind Sym­phony, and oth­ers.

She also main­tains an ac­tive role in the mu­sic scene on Prince Ed­ward Is­land - in high de­mand as a flute and pi­ano ed­u­ca­tor, soloist, and col­lab­o­ra­tor.

Saulnier is prin­ci­pal flute of the P.E.I. Sym­phony Or­ches­tra and holds ses­sional ap­point­ments at UPEI and Hol­land Col­lege. She lives in Char­lot­te­town with her hus­band and daugh­ter and owns a bou­tique on Vic­to­ria Row.
