The fu­neral for Mary Sophia (Mae) O’Han­ley was held on Tues­day July 7 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Souris. The fu­neral mass was cel­e­brated by fa­ther Jim Wil­lick. Co-cel­e­brants were fa­ther Raju Che­bat­tina. First read­ing was done by brother- Fran­cis Dun­phy. Sec­ond read­ing done by Glo­ria MacFar­lane (niece). Prayers of the faith­ful led by Carol O’Han­ley Yos­ton (gran­daugh­ter) . Honorary pall­bear­ers were mem­bers of the con­gre­ga­tion. Pall­bear­ers were Charles Dun­phy (nephew), Ray­mond Dun­phy (nephew), Jake Mills, Isaac Cahill, Mar­cus Cahill (great-grand­sons), Glynn Shee­han (close friend). Al­tar servers were Terry Carter, Frank Mac­In­tosh. Mu­sic was pro­vided by St. Mary's Choir with or­gan­ist Bill Matthews. Hymns were, en­tranceBe Not Afraid, of­fer­tory; Amaz­ing Grace, com­mu­nion; Like A Shep­herd, Re­ces­sional; How Great Thou Art, soloist; Melvin Ford, post com­mu­nion hymn; Holy Mary. In­ter­ment was made in the St. Mary’s Ceme­tery, Souris, with the com­mit­tal ser­vice con­ducted by Fa­ther Jim Wil­lick.
