Three im­paired driv­ers ar­rested in Summerside

SUMMERSIDE – Summerside City Po­lice ar­rested three im­paired driv­ers over the week­end. Early Fri­day morn­ing, po­lice re­ceived a re­port of three in­tox­i­cated males hav­ing left a lo­cal bar in a truck. The truck was lo­cated on Wa­ter Street where it was pulled over and the driver, a 38-year-old Summerside man, was ar­rested for im­paired driv­ing. Then, early Satur­day morn­ing, po­lice con­ducted a traf­fic stop on Granville Street on a ve­hi­cle that had been speed­ing. The driver, a 27-year-old Mon­treal man, was ar­rested for im­paired driv­ing re­fusal to pro­vide a breath sam­ple. Early Sun­day morn­ing, a traf­fic stop was con­ducted on a ve­hi­cle on Wa­ter Street as an of­fi­cer on pa­trol no­ticed the ve­hi­cle swerv­ing. As a re­sult of the traf­fic stop, the driver, a 31-year-old Summerside woman, was ar­rested for im­paired driv­ing and pro­vided sam­ples of her breath that were twice the le­gal limit for driv­ing.
