Rain wins again
Charlottetown Gaudet’s Auto Body Islanders pitcher Dan O’Shea prepares to throw a pitch against the Moncton Fisher Cats Tuesday night at Memorial Field in Charlottetown in New Brunswick Senior Baseball League action. The game was delayed 45 minutes after Moncton got stuck in road work on the Confederation Bridge. The game was tied 2-2 entering the sixth inning when rain struck, washing out the rest of the night’s action. The remaining two innings of the game will be played at a later date. The game was initially June 16, but was postponed due to rain. Charlottetown scored two runs in the first inning Tuesday, but Moncton responded with one in the second and tied it in the top of the fifth.
