Repairs close library
The library in the basement of the village office in Tyne Valley is also closed for repairs.
It’s been closed since May 10 when a burst sewer pipe was discovered.
Village administrator Marie Barlow said it’s expected repairs and cleanup there will be completed by the end of this week.
is owned by the village and Barlow said the damage is covered by insurance.
Books that would normally be forwarded to the Tyne Valley library are being redistributed to other libraries in the system, said Grace Dawson, branch and community services librarian for rural libraries.
Members who would normally use the Tyne Valley library can drop off or pick up books at any of the other facilities
