Ottawa Senators head coach Dave Cameron, Florida Panthers head coach Gerard (Turk) Gallant and his assistant Mike Kelly are participating in the hot stove lounge night. It will take place Wednesday, Aug. 5, at the Fox Meadow Golf Club in Stratford. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

The UPEI men’s hockey team’s booster club is organizing the event.

“We were looking for a new fundraiser for the hockey team and we approached Dave, Turk and Mike about the idea and we are thrilled they agreed,” said booster club president and former Panther Lennie Kelly.

The evening offers a chance to meet with the coaches, get an inside view of NHL dressing rooms and pose questions during the session.

“It has been a busy off-season for each of them and we are very grateful that they will be at Fox Meadow on Aug. 5 and help the UPEI men’s hockey program,” said UPEI head coach Forbie MacPherson.

There are 250 tickets available and they are $50 each. They can be purchased by emailing mhockey@upei.ca or calling 902566-0986.
