The 21st edition of the Rendez-vous Rustico festival is set for July 25-26 at St-Augustine’s square in Rustico, and the team at the Conseil acadien de Rustico (CaR) is working hard to assure this year’s festival will be a continuous wave of fun for people of all ages and interests.

A festival is not complete without food, so on Saturday starting at 4:30 p.m., the CaR will combine a meal of fresh island mussels and baked potatoes with all trimmings ($7) all the while being entertained by a youth talent show, a Guerre des Toiles - a live painting competition - and a kitchen party with Jonny Arsenault.

On Sunday, 5-7 p.m., a traditional-homemade Acadian supper with chicken fricot, meat pie, galettes blanches and strawberry shortcake will be served (cost $12 in advance or $15 at the door) prior to the Gallant concert.

These meals are being served at the Centre acadien GrandRustico, 2244 Church Rd., Route 243 in Rustico.
