The downtown retail shop has become a destination stop with as many as 30 artists actively working and volunteering and engaging visitors and customers.
“Visitors from far and wide have stopped in to take a look, and purchase from these very talented local artisans and we are thankful for this group,” said Joeanne Roche, special events co-ordinator for the town.
The artisan shop was recently presented with the Arts, Heritage and Culture Volunteer of the Year Award from the town of Souris.
“We were delighted to receive this recognition,’’ said artisan and volunteer shopkeeper Sherri Gallant during a recent tour.
“It’s been great to see the growth we’ve experienced since opening and the number of visitors generated.
