On November 15, 2014, Laura received a Masters of Social Work from Carelton University, Ottawa and on June 3, 2015, Susan received a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science, from McGill University, Montreal. Proud grandparents are Ewen Stewart and the late Margaret Stewart, and Mary(Lloyd) Gates and the late Donald G. Robinson. We, the family of David William Crew wish to express our sincere thanks to everyone who supported us during David’s brief illness with cancer and also after his death. Thank you to those who came to visit David, brought food and offered sympathy and support. Thank you for your cards, phone calls and all the monetary donations given in David’s memory Special thanks must go to Dr. Lecours, Dr. Baker, Blanche Ward, the Nurses and all the staff at the PEI Palliative Care Unit, also to the Home Care Team and the wonderful doctors and nurses at the QEH Oncology Department. Sincere thanks to Mark Buell for the kindness and compassion he showed to David and Shirley during David’s illness and for officiating at David’s funeral service and making it such a memorable occasion. A very special thank you to Steven Ellis for singing the beautiful solo, Love Divine, that David had chosen personally, for his funeral. Many thanks to our PEI family who helped us in so may ways; to Steven, Matt and Marjorie especially for all their visits to our home, the hospital and Palliative Care Unit; to Gary Ellis for his generous gesture to one of our sons; to Irene for her continued support since David’s passing and to all the lovely ladies who served refreshments following the funeral and helped in so many other ways. Thanks to all those friends and family who attended the visitation and also David’s funeral. Grateful thanks to Bob & Shelia and Linda & Fred for the love and affection they have continued to show Shirley over this difficult first year since David passed away.
