Acadian Days Festival set to get underway
The Farmers’ Bank of Rustico Museum and Doucet House (2188 Church Rd., Rustico, Route 243, off Route 6) will be holding daily events from July 25 to Aug. 21 as a part of its Acadian Days Festival.
Every day, 2-4 p.m., hot apple cider will be served at the Doucet House. Guests can also have their photographs taken in traditional Acadian costume.
Starting July 27, on Mondays and Wednesdays, 2-4 p.m., Shirley Gallant will provide a demonstration of knitting. In addition, interpreters in period costume will give guided tours, and genealogist Theresa Gallant will talk about the genealogy of Rustico Acadian families by appointment.
