Gar­den tour planned for Sun­day

The 2014 win­ner of the Com­mu­ni­ties In Bloom com­pe­ti­tion for best Gar­den in Char­lot­te­town will be on the an­nual Gar­den Club P.E.I. tour on Sun­day.

Lo­cated at 132 Up­per Prince St., the gar­den of Nor­man and Phyl­lis Hall can be viewed be­tween 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. as one of four prop­er­ties in the greater Char­lot­te­town area on the tour.

Although there is no ad­mis­sion, own­ers Nor­man and Phyliis Hall will be fundrais­ing for Horse­play P.E.I., a pro­gram that con­nects autis­tic youth to horses. The pro­gram is hosted by Handibear Hills Horse Sanc­tu­ary in Granville and they are hold­ing a 50/50 draw this sum­mer to raise funds to sup­port the sanc­tu­ary. Over $1/000 is in the win­ner’s pool al­ready with six weeks to go till the draw date.

Yogi Fell, the care­giver at the sanc­tu­ary, will be on hand at the Hall’s gar­den to sell tick­ets on the draw.

The hosts will be of­fer­ing free re­fresh­ments to all who pur­chase the tick­ets. If un­able to at­tend, call in a pledge to Nor­man at 902-628-5581.Tick­ets are $2 each or three for $5.
