Checking the animals

The Guardian (Charlottetown) - - THE PROVINCE - HEATHER TAWEEL/THE GUARDIAN

Molly Everest, right, 11, of Toronto, Ontario, checks out a salmon faberolle hen with assistance from Steve Webster, large animal technician at the Atlantic Veterinary College in Charlottetown. Molly is one of 52 junior high school age students participating in the 16th annual Dr. Tim Oglivie AVC Vet Camp. Holding a silver-laced wyandotte hen is Mila Profit, third-year vet student and coordinator of this year’s vet camp program. During four one-week camps in July, participants learn about veterinary medicine through classroom and hands-on activities.
