Rock the Boat re­turns to Tyne Val­ley Oys­ter Fes­ti­val

Rock the Boat is com­ing back to the Tyne Val­ley Oys­ter Fes­ti­val af­ter prov­ing to be a ma­jor draw in its inau­gu­ral year last year.

The 2014 Tyne Val­ley Oys­ter Fes­ti­val at­tracted over 15,000 visi­tors last year.

The fes­ti­val will run from July 29-Aug. 2 with Rock the Boat tak­ing place on Aug. 1.

ACOA’s Busi­ness De­vel­op­ment Pro­gram is pro­vid­ing a $30,000 con­tri­bu­tion to sup­port Tyne Val­ley Oys­ter Fes­ti­val Inc. with in­fra­struc­ture, equip­ment and mar­ket­ing re­quire­ments nec­es­sary to pro­duce and mar­ket the show.

The pro­vin­cial Depart­ment of Eco­nomic De­vel­op­ment and Tourism, will con­trib­ute another $30,000 to the pro­ject.

Rock the Boat 2015 will fea­ture Tom Cochrane and Red Rider, Matt An­der­sen, the Stan­fields, the Ir­ish De­scen­dents, and Amy and Rachel Beck.
