Woman swims across strait

AMHERST SHORE, N.S., N.S. - An On­tario woman has suc­cess­fully com­pleted a swim across the Northum­ber­land Strait and back again to­day - touch­ing all three Mar­itime prov­inces. Fifty-eight-year-old Mar­i­lyn Korzekwa em­barked on the 34-kilo­me­tre swim at around 7:45 p.m. Satur­day. She de­parted from the Amherst Shore of Nova Sco­tia and swam to Prince Ed­ward Is­land, then dou­bled back along­side the Con­fed­er­a­tion Bridge. Ac­cord­ing to Korzekwa's blog, she fin­ished in New Brunswick at around noon af­ter swimming non-stop for al­most 17 hours.
