Mud­men lose

The Loy­al­ists RFC avenged two years of losses to the P.E.I. Hunter’s Ale House Mud­men on Sun­day with a 37-33 vic­tory over the P.E.I. squad in Nova Sco­tia Se­nior Men’s Rugby League ac­tion. Justin El­lis had two tries for P.E.I. with sin­gles com­ing from Brody Noo­nan, Brody Mac­Don­ald and Charles Waddell. Mud­men player Phil Gallant said it was a hard fought con­test. The match was tied 17-17 at the half. “We tried to mount a come­back but we just came up short,’’ Gallant said. “We were miss­ing some key play­ers.’’ The loss drops the Mud­men to 4-2.
