Vic­to­ria Park courts host­ing cham­pi­onships

It’s go-time for Is­land ten­nis play­ers this week­end when the 2015 Ten­nis P.E.I. pro­vin­cial closed ten­nis tour­na­ment be­gins Fri­day at Vic­to­ria Park in Char­lot­te­town.

On the line are sev­eral ti­tles in­clud­ing ju­nior sin­gles, open mixed dou­bles, men’s or women’s 50-plus dou­bles and sin­gles, men’s or women’s sin­gles and men’s or women’s dou­bles.

Ju­niors and open mixed dou­bles be­gin Fri­day at 3 p.m. The rest start Satur­day at 8 a.m.

Fi­nals are Sun­day be­gin­ning at 1 p.m.

En­try fee for Ten­nis P.E.I. mem­bers is $20 for sin­gles, $10 per per­son for dou­bles. Cost for non-mem­bers is $5 more.
