Recital se­ries wrap­ping up

The last recital of the Wed­nes­days at Noon se­ries at the Kirk of St. James, 35 Fitzroy St., Char­lot­te­town, takes place on Wed­nes­day, July 29, at 12:10 p.m. The per­former is Liu Jian­jun in a pro­gram of works for solo pi­ano. They in­clude De­bussy's Sunken Cathe­dral, Beethoven's Pa­the­tique Sonata, Rach­mani­noff Etude in g mi­nor and Bach Pre­lude and Fugue in b mi­nor.

Liu Jian­jun ( Jane) is a vis­it­ing scholar at UPEI for mu­sic ed­u­ca­tion re­search. She came from China where she has spent 11 years ded­i­cated on pi­ano teach­ing af­ter grad­u­a­tion from Gan­nan Nor­mal Univer­sity. She is presently study­ing with Frances McBurnie.

Ad­mis­sion is free, but do­na­tions to the Kirk Choral Schol­ar­ship pro­gram are greatly ap­pre­ci­ated.
