The fu­neral for Wayne Daniel Fisher was held Wed­nes­day, July 1, 2015 from Ma­cLean Fu­neral Home Swan Chapel to St. John’s United Church, Mount Stewart where the ser­vice was con­ducted by The Rev­erend T. Kevin Ding­well and The Rev­erend Gary Clark. The scrip­tures were read by sis­ter-in-law Rhonda Fisher and sis­ter Karen Hol­land. The St. John’s United Church Choir and Friends led in the singing of the con­gre­ga­tional hymns “In the Gar­den” and “How Great Thou Art”. The pre­lude “Amaz­ing Grace” was sung by Cam MacMaster, Ber­nely Shep­ard and Jason MacIsaac. Soloist Dar­ren MacEach­ern sang “There is a River” and “In the Quiet Curve of Evening”. The postlude “Hec­tor, the Hero” was played by fid­dler Allan Mac­Don­ald and gui­tarist Bon­nie Camp­bell. Or­gan­ist was Shelly Mor­ri­son. In at­ten­dance were staff of the com­mu­nity of Mount Stewart and the Queen El­iz­a­beth Hos­pi­tal. The Mount Stewart Fire Depart­ment formed an hon­our guard. All in at­ten­dance served as hon­ourary pall­bear­ers. Urn­bear­ers were sons Nigel and Kaelin Fisher. Flower­bear­ers were nieces and neph­ews. In­ter­ment took place in Mount Stewart Peo­ples Ceme­tery.
