Blue Frog system waste of money
Some fast-talking mainlander convinced the town of Strafford to waste several million dollars on a bunch of fans called the Blue Frog system.
The fans are supposed to suppress the odour from their wastewater ponds but they have failed to do the job.
The permanent solution to the odour problem is to hook up to the Charlottetown waste treatment plant and get rid of the wastewater ponds altogether.
If town council had done the job properly the first time they would not have an odour problem and would not be a threat to oyster fishermen on the Hillsborough river.
This happens when we take short cuts and choose the cheaper and easier option which never solves the problem completely. David Steeves Charlottetown
