FIVE THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT WAYNE THI­BODEAU

1 Wayne Thi­bodeau grew up in Mimine­gash, a small fish­ing com­mu­nity in western Prince Ed­ward Is­land. He now calls Char­lot­te­town home.

2 While in high school, Wayne be­gan re­port­ing for the Sum­mer­side Jour­nal-Pi­o­neer, a TC Me­dia news­pa­per.

3 His first, full-time job in jour­nal­ism was at the West Prince Graphic in Al­ber­ton, where he served as re­porter, pho­tog­ra­pher, and later edi­tor. He would also sell sub­scrip­tions and oc­ca­sion­ally clean the bath­room.

4 Wayne was one of the first jour­nal­ists in the coun­try to file for mul­ti­ple plat­forms – re­port­ing for The Guardian, Global Mar­itimes, and Canada.com.

5 As a child, while other kids were play­ing cops and rob­bers, Wayne was the re­porter on the scene telling the story. He’s still in­ter­ested in great sto­ries to­day.
