Five seek Montague council seat opening
MONTAGUE – Five town residents will be vying for the vacant seat on the town council. Nominations closed Friday and two former councillors are seeking the job along with three newcomers. A council seat was made vacant with the resignation of Sheila MacKenzie Fitzpatrick and the by-election will be held Aug. 17. The candidates include former councillors Leonard Munroe and Marian Robertson and newcomers Brian Gariepy, Daphne Griffin and Adam Martell.
