British Columbia premier soccer player Lucas Ross has committed to the UPEI Panthers for next season. The midfielder is from Okanagan Valley, B.C., and just finished his fifth year in the Vancouver Whitecaps school academy and completed his third year in the British Columbia Soccer Premier League. “I can’t wait to come out east and offer what I’ve learned here,’’ Ross said in a news release. “I know I will improve my game at the University of Prince Edward Island.” UPEI head coach Lewis Page says Ross brings some valuable experience to the Panthers’ roster. “I am happy to add Lucas Ross to our roster for next season. His experience from the Whitecaps Academy in the Okanagon will make him a strong candidate for a midfield role in our team,” Page said. Ross will be entering the bachelor of science program.
