McNALLY, Allison Thomas
The funeral for Allison McNally of Scotchfort was held on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 from Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home to St. Bonaventure Church, Tracadie Cross where the concelebrated funeral mass was offered by Reverend Keith Kennific as chief celebrant and homilist. He was assisted by Reverend Charlie Cheverie and Reverend John Lacey. The pall was placed over Allison’s casket by his wife, Betty McNally, and sons, Wayd McNally, Randy McNally and David McNally. The paschal candle was lit by granddaughters, Rori McNally and Sadie McNally, daughters-in-law, Johnena McNally and Stephanie McNally. The first lesson was proclaimed by daughter-in-law, Angela McNally, and the second lesson was proclaimed by niece Dr. Kathie McNally. The prayers of intercession were offered by sons, Wayd McNally, David McNally and Randy McNally. The funeral mass was sung by Jocelyne Ludgate. During the funeral she sang the entrance hymn, I Will Never Forget You, the offertory hymn, One Thing I Ask, and the recessional hymn, Prayer Of St. Francis. The communion hymn, Ashokan Farewell, was played on the fiddle by Father Charlie Cheverie. The meditation was the music selection, Bridge Over Troubled Water. The pallbearers were Barry Vessey, Don Bell, Paul Runighan, Brian Gillis, John Bysterveldt and Dale Murphy. Honorary pallbearers were Harvey Mitchell, Jim & Paulette McNally, Ken & Jane McNally, Victor Jarvis, Bill Austin, Frank & Carol Ann McNally, Judy & Ted Lawlor, Walter Evans, Gerard Kenny, Gary MacLaren, Dr. Christine Beck, Jack MacPherson, Dr. Kathie McNally & Thane Craig. Among those attending the funeral liturgy were Tracadie and other Lions Club Members, and The Honorable Wayne Easter MP. The interment took place in St. Bonaventure Parish Cemetery.
